BMW Night Vision with detection of
individual persons in the BMW 7 Series Sedan.
Driving in the dark becomes a more relaxing experience with BMW Night Vision. This optional system reveals objects up to 300 metres ahead of the vehicle, thanks to an infrared camera that transmits images to the Control Display. BMW is the world's first car maker to offer person detection. Intelligent algorithms look specifically for pedestrians shown in yellow in the video. Should the system detect any danger to individual persons, the driver receives an additional warning on the Control Display or optional Head-Up Display.

全新第二代BMW行人辨識之夜視系統是運用遠紅外線攝影機偵測300公尺遠的行人、動物及其他障礙物，並經由熱造影技術顯示於中央控制幕，如果經辨識之後確認是行人，系統­會在行人距車100公尺內時顯示黃色的警示符號並標明行人的動向，好讓駕駛者能有充份的時間反應、注意以避免危險。
