one reason why i wouldnt paraglide....looks great and laid back one minute..the next its your worst nightmare!...stick to hang gliders much safer than clowning around in one of these death traps...
As Wonderboy wrote...doing nothing would be much more better than pulling on brakes and holding it there, once it's stalled you need to release brakes in the 'right' time and control the massive surge, but SIV is needed as lot of things can happen. The idea is not to stall the glider
There should be a detailed explanation of how to get out of this situation. instead all the experts monday morning quarterback and criticize the pilot, good god!
wonderboy you hit the nail on the head. the pilot got scared and clamed up and turned what was a small frontal tuck into a stall over and over again. where was the pilots reserve!!! inexperienced pilots are there own worst enemy. hope the pilot got away with it
Pilot took a small frontal colapse, over reacted to it, pulled to much brake, spun the glider, and continued to hold a massive amount of brake. The wing was stalled almost the whole time.
that;s a negative spin

@FSXISCOOL
well if we have to believe the statistics hang-gliding isnt that much safer than paragliding
...but my personal belief, that mostly, its all in the hands of the pilot, no matter what type of aircraft he flies

Mismanaged full stall. Strong advice to attend a SIV course.
