Portal: Testchamber 05 Broken!

While I was doing a camera break run of Portal, I accidentally found this out while bored. You can break the level!

It's not a bug. The audio clip is proof that is was purposeful. It happens because there's a way to get the boxes into the next room and trap yourself in. So they needed a fail safe to make it so players can't get trapped. The game confuses the camera as the box, and thus the audio.

But it doesn't work with boxes. Only the camera makes this happen

yes it does... shoot the blue portal into the other room, then you take the boxes and pile them up near the orange portal so they make stairs, jump up them and then onto the platform, duck down and take the box off the top and thow it into the portal before you go in, now go though it and ta da

Ok, I see what you mean now, however, it does it because you trapped a testchamber critical box and you cannot complete the testchamber without it. This still counts as a bug cause A. You're not trapping anything, and B. A camera is not critical to finishing the testchamber.

One time in that chamber, I put both blocks on the buttons but the door didnt open. O.o I still don't know why.

i use a cheat code and it was called spawn cube and it would sometimes go through doors so i do it and the samething happend!!!

EVERYONE The bug is what she says. She's supposed to say "Despite the best efforts of the enrichment center staff to ensure the safe performance of all authorised activities, you have managed to ensnare yourself permanently inside this room. A complimentary escape hatch will open in 3, 2, 1." Also the camera shouldn't have triggered this. Just the boxes.

@PaulyShort Only the cameras? The buttons are meant to stay stuck. the camera doesn't matter if you do it without the camera it will work.

I do this every time I play... It was intentional, otherwise several of the chambers would be almost impossible.
