On Wednesday October 13, 2010 approx. 70 people gathered at the USS Constitution Museum in Charlestown, MA to hear the evidence and actions that led to the formation of the United States Navy. This was done on the 235th birthday of the Navy in an effort to determine the Navy's proper home. In true Navy fashion the Captain would yell out a "Hip Hip" to which the audience members who supported the particular town that was announced "Hazza!" and the louder of the hollers would be chosen as the winner. As you can tell there is still a close dispute and the true birthplace of the Navy remains up for debate..... although I'm pretty convinced it's Beverly, MA.
Full Disclosure: the camera man (me) and the poster of this video (me) is from Beverly, MA
