  • Actually, this was an example of centrifugal force. Centrepital force is the force that makes an object follow a curved path. The penny in the balloon was a great example of Centripetal force. Centrifugal force is the force you feel when your body is force to move along a curved path. It's the outward force. They can be related however, such as the penny in the balloon. The centripetal force acts on the penny's motion while the force that's exerted on the penny due to motion is centrifugal.
