@MightyLemur wowed by shiny things? no. mw2 is fun plain and simple. maybe its not a classic or anything, like SMB is, its still fun, with a good campaign and great online multiplayer. smb is fantastic too. but to me when i picked the game up years after its release i wasn't seeing anything new. sure, it was revolutionary and great for its time, but when it comes to mario games, mario 64 and the galaxy games are better. mw2 may not be good as sm64, but it's better than super mario bros.

@MrAwesomeness220 Okay you may be a game collector but like I originally said you are just a kid.. That doesn't necessarily mean anything and could be taken as stereotyping yet there is a noticeable link between being a young teenager and being wow-ed by, as i said before, MW2's shallow tricks and shiny features when if you scratch the surface MW2 isn't all that great. Sure you can put alot of time into it but it's gameplay has nothing new that wins over other games, classic or new.

@MightyLemur ha! don't make me laugh... first of all, i'm a game collector and collect modern and retro games. i own both super mario bros. and mw2. i have put countless hours into both and imo are among the best games of all time. i happen to prefer mw2 because of the multiplayer and online. super mario bros. is a great game, a classic in fact, but has many problems. I'm not saying mw2 is the best game of all time, oot would take that prize, but in terms of overall gameplay, mw2 wins :)

It was 16-bit as games were at the time, it had you collecting items as games did at the time and it was a 2d scroller as games were at the time.

@MrAwesomeness220 That's because you're a kid and are wow-ed by shiny things with shiny appearances but with no depth. MW2 is a sub-standard game anyway and can't compare to what is a great game.

...let me descibe, it might be confusing, i was born on 97. When i was like 6 i Played a lot of games that were liek copycat of mario, im not sure....i remember there was a game, i think it was mario that before selecting a alevel you were in a map. what game was that?

@CrashBandiFan3000 Could be Super Mario Bros. 3 for the NES, but its probably Super Mario World for the SNES.
