Great review of the Avenger. Thanks for your emails. I found the original post and this video. You have a nice style and fluidity to your playing. The only factor I cannot figure out is when the studio switch is engaged.

Great review of the Avenger. It is unclear when the studio switch is on or off ?

The studio switch starts at around 4:13 in. I'll have to make another vid running through a Tech 21 Leeds. The Leeds and Liverpool really explode the notch positions. You can get great rockabilly or enhanced Strat tone a-la Stevie Ray from either. Simply Maahvelous..

Hey, great vid, great playing. Something that caught my eye is the cord you're using. It's got a cool short plug on it. What is that thing? I'd love to have a cord that doesn't extend 2 inches from the guitar body because of the typical long plug.

I'm a self-taught hack who never learned proper hand technique, but thanks for the compliment.
The cord is a Bill Lawrence solder free cable. The particular end is made for pedal boards. They also sell a longer end for guitar. Really improved the clarity in my rig. I've seen some people complain that they are bright sounding, but I have a huge bass response in my rig, so a little sparkle works for me.

Avengers are great - ridiculously light and airy with some serious vibe. Gotta have a switch to get the neck and bridge together - versatile indeed!
The Colorsound Overdriver adds this little sparkle that really didn't come through in the vid as it does in person.
Great guitars that can be had for the price of a used Strat.. worth every penny..
