Although I felt sorry for her because it was her birthday and all, I was so glad to see him setting her straight after she got away with behaving like an ungrateful little brat, expecting to get everything handed to her soooo many times. I've actually said a similar line to one of my professors. It was along the lines of her not being in a position to make me, the class in general, feel guilty for not doing the work. It was her job to grade on whether or not and how well we do the work, not to condescend. I sounded like a douchebag in the class, and it really hurt her feeling. But, ultimately that is the relationship between students and teachers. We pay them to educate, not to let their emotions dictate how they interact.
