Amazing - I happen to have a clock virtually identical to this. The works and the face look identical, but there are some slight differences in the case. I inherited it from my grandmother, who had it at least since the 1940s, but I don't know if she bought it new so I can't say for certain how old it is.

Im a clock collector, I refuse to buy any quartz clocks, my personal faverite of the vintage clocks are the black forest cuckoo clocks. ^^

My Great Grandmother had one just like this. I remember when she died, I wanted it real bad, but my parents wouldn't let me because they knew I'd just take it to pieces!

I have the exact same clock. I repair them.
I have 16 mantel clocks, all different styles. My favourites are the old pre-war Mauthe clocks. My wife says I'm starting to "TICK" her off!!
She wants me to sell a few.
