@MzSkribble Obviously you do not have a clue... you and the rest must be less than great... Moore!!!

@blaqdiemenz You're right. I cannot know what all his poems are like based on this one effort. This is a mediocre poem, though.

i strongly suggest u lok up ansley burrows on youtube b4 u say how mediocre of a poet he is. if u didnt like the poem hey thats you but believe me he is an outstanding artist
-
@MzSkribble its not beer its a stout, and 'guinness is great'
-
Guiness, it will only slow you down for a little bit, but you will keep on going. BOO-YAH Good beer right there.
-
not a fan of Guiness but pretty sick commercial
-
yeh... you're missing the point... it's not about a beer... it's about this beer... and inspiring you to be your best... to persevere... it's a play on concepts... "Reach For Greatness"... meaning both the "greatness" that is "Guinness"... and the greatness in yourself... I think it's powerful.. and provides the exact message that it was intended to...

for those worried about the beer ad you dont look at what it advertise. As bruce lee once said "you take what you see is useful and you leave that which is not". the meaning behind what this man says is powerful even if this is a beer commercial. Is his words any less MEANINGFUL?!?!!?

omfg lo hes good

@sainthearc The poem is average at best. Maybe you like it, that's ok. Personal taste is essential in poetry. MY personal opinion is that it's a mediocre poem made even more generic and underwhelming because the "artist" involved has sold his 'art' to Guinness for a few quid
This may be what you call "immaculate writing", but I would suggest you need to read more poems by better writers - eg Frost, Blake, Heaney, Bukowski, Yeats and many many others who shit on this hack from a great height.
i TOTALLY agree endr117. Reach for greatness is the message?..Struggling through one's own journey was another... but to associate it with a fucking beer is just bullshit!

lol, i really like all the extra effects, and the way it flowed so nicely with his words... all sending quite a powerful message, take it as u will... then ending it off with a beer just threw me, as well as the entire message, off... greatness should not be measured by alcohol, but rather potential. Whereas alcohol can bring quite the opposite of a person, as where the word "wasted" is associated.
