I can see that some ppl on here on confusing this with jujitsu. They look simillar and even the same. Jujitsu in Japan was invented from the samurai before the 12th century. It was born on the battle field. Samurias fought all the time and thefore studied and used the best techniques. Japanese jujitsu is based on the katana and the movements that are related to using it. Monks in china never fought as much. These techniques are simillar to kokodo which is not based on armored foes. Japnans is

@ironmantis3 It looks like a mix of Chinese china na and Judo. The only real judo techniques were the collar strangles and a few others.

Did Matt actually say he didnt like the Gracies techniques? I VERY much doubt it because it would seem kind of stupid seeing as Matt is a black belt in BJJ himself. If he didnt like the Gracies techniques, why did he learn Gracie Jiu Jitsu???

Do you REALLY think the guys posting on youtube are MMA students? Now you do make me laugh! I would say a VERY small percentage of the troll comments are from MMA students. As I said before, its most likely armchair warriors writing it.
