Billboard Darkness Project

A community arts project in Hulton and Deane area of Bolton involving creative feedback and artwork from residents, community centres and schools on the issues that arise at night-time.

This documentary gathers creative feedback from residents before acting on the information by staging 'street corner workshops', essentially taking MC workshops, light photography and media activities to the young people hanging around.

Multi-media, light graffiti, film, photography, music and artwork from participants and artists, including workshops, street events and free community exhibitions.

porterlord - I can't speak for the council, Bolton at Home (who are independant of the council) funded this project. I am told they will be funding more arts projects in the Deane/Hulton area soon, but as a film-maker I hope this video gives people like you a voice - at least now there is a video representing your concerns. Why don't you forward the link to an MP ? or to the council leaders ? or to more people who think like you do?
