  • What thickness OSB did you use and would Hardwood floor work with the OSB (will the nails stick?)

  • @bl1tzkr1egbob I used 3/4" osb. If I were going to do hardwood, I would probably have used plywood

  • I find it much better to rip 2 x ( 0" to 2-1/2) then lay down osb on that.

  • this is crazy...over time this is going to be a pile of junk (quicker if you have a water leak at that sink.

  • be nice to mention the type of level you use; four foot? or laser?

  • Wouldn't self leveler be easier?

  • where did you get the shims that would be 8 foot long? what do you think of the shingle idea

  • What would you think about using 3 tab roofing shingles instead of scrap lumber to shim the floor to become level?
