Sorry, I just read your post about the hiding spot. Yeah that's a tough call that I was forced to make adjustments. I kept just the right amount of cichlids that enabled them to each have their own nice territory. It's a tough call though cause you want a variety of cichlids.

I've seen Brichardi almost as big as a full size Oscar. I like when they're grown up you can see their fangs. I read the post where you said your brichardi died. You might need to put more lava rocks and plants to give your cichlids some hiding spots. jmo =)

Long John Silver's called, they want their fish sticks back...

I would recommend adding hiding places (rocks) it will reduce aggressive behaviors and promote spawning

Your obliquiden is massive compared to mine. How old are these fish? Very cool cichlids none the less. And your brichardi is massive too. I've never seen them all in their adult form before, just small. 5 stars

These fish all range from 2-7 years old. The brichardi has since passed on with no apparent reason, he was about 4-5.

There is less fish in there now but I've found that hiding spots make them fight more over territory so that why I don"t make any. They make there own caves.
