Spanish Harlem Orchestra - Fordham Rd. Festival 9-9-07

It was great to have La Orquesta del Barrio back on home turf in El Condado de la Salsa, the Bronx, NY. This exceptional group of musicians are carrying the tradition of Afro-Cuban music, built upon by the great New York musicians of the past, to the far corners of the earth. Their coming appearances in Indonesia, Australia and Europe demonstrate the universal appeal of "La Musica Nuestra." But it's great to see them perform for the home crowd. And don't forget that Ray de la Paz, SHO's great sonero is a Bronx native!
