  • The liner notes from that great album 'Grand Encounter' formerly tittled '2 Degrees East, 3 Degrees West' says he got a B.A. in science from U.C. Santa Barbara & then a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology - Cal Tech - in Pasadena. I thank god that he decided to play the tenor - for us - instead. Great tenor player. Because of him, '2 Degrees East 3 Degrees West' is one of the greatest jazz records of all time.

  • Bill is a west coast classic. He played for the Kenton band when it was at its best.

  • Bill Perkins Rocks !!!
