French military - Famas machine gun

The French military has a gun which I have never seen before it is called the Famas - I was also surprised that the dude shook my hand ehhm....they are not allowed to do this

The FAMAS is one heck of a nice Assault Rifle! It has a distinct look, and the french have a nice looking uniform as well. I'd love to go to france.. and get a few pictures of these FAMAS first hand.. hehe

(lets not forget the cheese, wine, bread and various pastries)

C'est pas un Fusil Mitrailleur... Fusil Mitrailleur = FM.

On entends parler de FM dans un film, "La 7e compagnie", je cite :"Tassin porte le FM". Dans ce film c'est le MAC 24-29, modèle 1924 et révisé en 1929, d'où le nom 24-29.

MAC : Manufacture d'Armes de Cahors.

MAB : Manufacture d'Armes de Bayonne.

FAMAS : Fusil d'Assaut Manufacture d'Armes de Saint Étienne.
