@nurestan haha no kolattam is a totally different dance, attan is native afghan, probably derives from the Pyrrhic dance of the greeks. and the tabla was not derived from south india, it was made in north india by amir khusrau (tora, tab bhi bhola = tabla) we can derive its name from hindi... nothing about attan or table is south indian or tamil, get your facts straight dude!

attan is an indian/tamil folkdance which came along with tabla etc.. It is called Attam or Kol Attam... not so cool to call it national dance!
