  • The timing was good between shots, gives people time to admire the detail.

Q.)During which month was the photos taken? and how did you manage to get photos without visitors walking around?

  • It was taken in early spring..during the week when tourist traffic was low

  • This was my favorite chateau.

  • Glad you liked the video....! Peace

  • The artists who have built Versailles had previously built Vaux -le -Vicomte :

    -architect : Le Vau

    - Master of the gardens : Le Nôtre

    -Painter artist : Le Brun

Louis XIV th , jealous of the owner of Vau - Le- Vicomte (Fouquet, who had spend so much money for this castle and who had received him with so much luxury) , put him in prison and bring his artists with him to build his new castle... Versailles !

  • This castle owned to Monsieur Nicolas Fouquet until he's gone to jail.

Louis 14th did'nt stand to see a castle much more beautiful than any castle he's ever seen before.

  • Thank you, sir for your excellent work, and your attention to detail. I am a direct descendent (Fouquet family) and live in America. Nicolas Fouquet was wrongly accused and punished by Louis. Our family thanks you for your tribute to Nicolas, and your contribution to France and its magnificient history. We do not forget the debt America owes France for its own independence, and the historical connection between France and America. Merci. -- D.W. Fuqua (Fouquet, in French).

  • @mouna28 Le Notre was a busy man with his work cut out for him. Besides the gardens of Vaux Le Vicomte and Versailles, he worked on the gardens of Fontainebleau. You can tell it's the same Le Notre design only on a smaller scale.

  • merci pour la viste, somptieu chateau
