This was originally supposed to be a Super 8 film. The first time I shot it I shot at night, and the film came back black. The second time I shot it I accidentally shot it in slow motion, so the film just ran out really fast. I finally got permission from my teacher to shoot it in stills, in the style of "La Jetee."

  • nice job. even without it being super 8 it really comes off as a cool style that it's all stills. lookin forward to your next film noir!

  • The actress was my roommate Jordan. I'm sure she will appear in further films to come. I was going for a film noir style story and look. I shot the original at night on Super 8 but it came back underexposed, so I had to come up with a new storyboard for a daytime setting. I'm happy with how it turned out, though.

  • Cool thingy! It's a real bitch that it didn't come out right in the super 8, but live and learn, right? ^_^
