WELL HALLO THAR.

Long time no upload. For the longest time, I thought my mic was busted, and the quality was awful. Turns out it just wasn't plugged in right, and my webcam mic was picking up the sound. OTL Harhar.

So for the first time in a while, I was talking to Max (AnnaLeBeau) on Skype. I was recently casted as Mrs. Lovett in my school's production of Sweeney Todd. THE. MUSIC. IS. IMPOSSIBLE. Is it THE HARDEST music I have EVER had to sing in my life. Dx But I absolutely LOVE all the songs with Anthony and Johanna. Green Finch and Linnet Bird being one of them.

So I was singing this to Max, and we were like, hey, let's make CCE (complete crap editions) of this and upload them! And so it happened. Because we're legit. ;D

Anyway. This was a complete one-shot. Hence the trill fail and me missing a cue and rushing to get back with the music. Meh. *shrugs* Ain't my song anyway. I might upload Worst Pies in London or By the Sea later, though..

Obviously, I'm not a soprano. Obviously, my voice is too bold for Johanna. THIS IS WHY I WAS CAST AS LOVETT. Lovett is a loooow mezzo to an alto. A lot of her stuff is painfully low for me too. There's no happy medium when you're a mezzo... Anyway.

  • i think you're a soprano, and you did a lovely job ^_^ you're right that your voice is powerful for Johanna, but your high notes were nice :)

  • @Tatsumi MEZZOsoprano. xD Slightly soprano, but more so stuck awkwardly in the middle of alto and soprano. It can be really handy because I can sing a wide range of songs, styles, and ranges, but also a bit of a pain because lots of stuff goes into my breaks. Thanks, though! I'm a soprano in my dreams. ;)

  • horrible...

  • your voice is SO strong, and i mean that in a gooood way! like your vibrato is so solid on those high notes, i was just singing this, and it literally makes my diaphragm SHAKE to hold my vibrato on those high notes!! lol, so gooooood job. great braeth control, this song is hard to sing and keep breath. hahahaha love the "awh man, this is why im a mezzo" at the end. made me lol ahahaha

  • @Kagome1Nani

Me too. You did great though - you have a lovely vibrato! :) x

  • Oh this is beautiful. <3 I love Sweeney Todd, and I can relate to the whole Todd-music-is-a-bitch, because I think a year ago I was also casted as Mrs. Lovett in a production. ;w; It was horrible.

    But, anyways. You sounded gorgeous~

  • @AnnaLeBeau oh i know what you mean ^_^ that definitely one of the things i like about nani-chan ^_^ and don't worry, i didn't think you were bashing her :)

  • @Tatsumi Oh, I'm absolutely certain she could, too. And she has taken voice lessons. Bear in mind, I'm not bashing her, she's one of my best buds. xD Hence why I know her voice so well, I've memorised her range. She sings where she's most comfortable, and she knows her own limits. Her strengths and weaknesses. What I've always admired about her is that she doesn't get discouraged easily, and keeps going at it no matter what. Even when she goes outside her comfort range, she does her best. :)

  • @AnnaLeBeau i still think, with more training, she could be a soprano. straining doesn't mean anything when depicting voice class. it just means that voice isn't completely free. i never thought i was a soprano, i always thought i was a mezzo/alto, but apparently i'm a soprano :P it just takes a lot of practice and an understanding of how to sing properly. but yeah, this song is incredibly hard and she does have a great voice for musicals :D

  • @Tatsumi She's not quite soprano, no. XD Nani's right, she's definitely more mezzo. You can hear her straining a little, but as always, I give her mad props for this. Because she's also right that this music is REAAAALLY hard. She has a great voice for musicals and Broadway. *^*
