When I give charity, I certainly do not use it for my self-promotion nor do I ask anything in return.

So what charity do you give back to? All of the world knows about Karma...............what good Karma do you bring to the world?

That is because Rotary does not use public donations to influence public opinion and views as other 501c3's do. Give a buck and 43 cents is spent on commercials, CEO limos, etc............with Rotary every dollar in = a dollar out for charities. The Rotary worker does not get paid, miles, free flight, etc.............they do it from the heart. Why do you think Rotary is in the top 2?

There are very few people in this country that have not been impacted by the work of Rotary. Look around and you will see the meeting signs, the parks sponsored by Rotary and community events. Each community does something different, but if you look..everywhere you go..there we are. We are far from a cult. We are simply business & community leaders who choose to give back to our communities to make them a better place for you all to live. Fortunately we have many that do appreciate our work.

I don't know what Rotary is, but this is a shotty video. It didn't explain anything(until 1:37 or so) and it sounded like a cult until then.

You would be very surprise as to how powerful this can be. A lot of people think conventionally but working with a Rotary "Engine" in your community could really surprise you as to what performance YOU are capable of. For a lark why don't you checkout your local Rotary club and see what it's about.
