@ShadowSonic2 The Gyro Captain became a different character in the sequel, which was just weird. But maybe it was intended that way because everyone was so fucked-up.

@ShadowSonic2 I know what you mean- but Max probably chose not to go with them because he was not really part of the group and there was nothing for him outside of the wasteland.

@JLC31383 Gyro DID have his Gyrocopter. Maybe he just picked up the kid and left Max there in the road?

@ShadowSonic2 But Max would have had to have met back up with the group because Gyro came up to him after the truck tipped over- and yet he was the one driving the bus when they were leaving.

@JLC31383 I Liked Thunderdome, really...
I always figured that they sold Max out, because the last scene we have of him is Max alone on the highway next to Papagallo's wrecked vehicle. As in, they used him as a decoy without his knowledge and took off while he fought the Raiders. They left him with nothing, no new vehicle or fuel.

@TURBODORK2 He chose not to go with them- they were looking for paradise with lots of water while he apparently wanted to stay behind in the wasteland. I always wish the third movie had been more like this story instead of the stupid thing it turned out to be.
