Okay, here's the deal. Like it or not, I stand in opposition to Virginia Foxx and all that she stands for. I am in her district in N.C. and she has heard from me by mail and phone on this issue. People may not agree with homosexuality, but if they choose to act in a manner that potentially causes bodily harm, such as in the Matthew Shepard case, they MUST be held accountable. when my neighbor and I were in middle school we got in a discussion with some other people on if matthew shepard type murders were hate crimes. I remember him finally saying something out of complete frustration like 'if the murderers say they killed somebody because they're gay, how could it be anything but a hate crime?'
