Sad to hear that the composer, John Mason, of this beautiful tune has just passed away. He was for many years the conductor of the Scottish Fiddle Orchestra. I've never heard a song to this tune.
Yes, there's another tune of the same name, but bears no resemblance to it.

There is a song called Scotland again to this tune. Really bonnie one too. I must confess that I really adore some of the slow airs recorded by the SFO. Really outstanding and they make the hair stand up on the back of your neck.

I'm on the hunt for beautiful romantic waltzes such as this gorgeous piece. What can you suggest? This is one my faves. Also love Jay Ungar's Ashokan Farewell and Lover's Watlz (of course) and Utpik Waltz. Please make suggestions!
