These are Thames Water's hardy east London sewermen. They have released their own reworded version of the carol Good King Wenceslas to stop people washing drain-blocking turkey fat down the sink this Christmas.

Christmas is the worst time of year for sewer abuse - putting anything other than human waste or loo roll down drains. It has got so bad that the 'Singing Sewermen', whose job is keeping the bowels of the capital running smoothly, have been moved to sing a seasonal plea urging the public to "Bin it - don't block it."

Thames Water will donate 1p to WaterAid for every hit the film gets on YouTube (up to a maximum of 200,000 views, ending on 31 January 2011) to support the charity's life-saving work to improve access to safe water and sanitation to the world's poorest people.
