it might be because on the sprite you have precise collision on or something. If that doesnt work duplicate the sprite and on that sprite draw a rectangle over the character then go to the characters object and go to mask and choose the sprite that you just made. hope it helps

its alright but it needs enemies and you could have more items to pick up like keys or money.

I think people would get bored trying to get all those gems before passing to next level. I suggest you make enemies, health or lives and change the sprites.
