@Grannybid - It turned out great, actually! (I used to be "vioilettesmile"). My 12-year old son loves it and calls it "his" bread now!
Hope you're all well!

My grandmother was from Co. Mayo and she made awesome soda bread with raisins. I miss hearing the accent...all my relatives from there are gone now.

Hello
thank you for your comment. County Mayo, what a beautiful county and wonderful people. We visited there in 2002. My dad, brother and sister and myself. I love the accent too. and glad I recorded his voice. Every time I make a soda bread, I think of mom & dad and still smile..You made me smile today too. Thank you.

Love your videos... beautiful memories.
Soda bread and Kerrygold are definitely things I miss from my travels to Ireland. Actually, Irish food and Irish dairy in general!

I love Ireland and Irish food and butter are really yummy. I have cherished memories of our Irish mom baking soda bread, some plain, other with raisins and some with caraway seeds. They were a special treet.
Thank you for your nice comment.
