Hybrid Flag Poi Test

Big thanks to a wonderful person named Jeff for giving me a pair of flags to spin with! I love them so much! But I did notice some slight differences between flagging and flag poi...so I decided to make my own hybrid flag/flag poi! This is what I came up with. :)

awesome! thankx. I love the shower curtain idea. I've got white sheer fabric (purchased at JoAnns in bulk) that I'm learning to voi with. I like the idea of not having a long line of cord or chain between the fabric and the handle. I bet it's easier to control that way. Thankx for posting!

@MizLacyZ Thank you! You can actually just find fabric that is made out of "gossamer" it's possibly the best type of cloth that you could just for flags that are as big as the white ones. I've noticed that with other fabrics, that the weight of the cloth really makes it hard to keep the spinning... hehehe

@mayzielly For the white flags, I used gossamer fabric. To be honest, I just bought a shower curtain that was made out of the stuff and cut the curtain in half. :) I plan on making a hybrid flag poi out of silk, like the rainbow colored flags seen in this video.

@pokesephiroth thanks! we made a flag poi for our upcoming presentation but we made use of satin mainly because we're going to depict a forest fire and satin has a glossy appearance which is striking but it is heavy and considering the size of our flag, we're having a hard time moving or manipulating it.

@mayzielly Ahhh.. yeah, satin can be pretty heavy in huge amounts. But they look really nice if they're smaller. Maybe you could reduce the size of the flags? Or you could make the flags into a triangular shape, that also seems to help. :)
