Video that questions the Republicans right and/or desire to control the health care reform bill. Senator Graham and Congressman John Boehner appeared on Sunday talk shows on September 20, 2009. They voiced their position on health care reform. Included in their position is their belief that health care reform is dead. McConnell, Graham, and Boehner all stated that all bills should be scraped and that the debate should start over in order to get a bill passed that they can support. They also opposed a public option.

What is wrong with this picture? When were the Republicans put in charge of writing the health care reform bill? Isnt this the same party that voted for and supports the unprovoked and unnecessary war in Iraq? Isnt this the same party that said and voted for an economic policy that included reducing taxes to the wealthiest Americans? Isnt this the same party that said the tax cuts would bring prosperity to America because of trickle down economics?

Didnt the American people vote for change during the 2006 mid-term elections when the Democrats became them majority party in the House of Representative? Didnt the Republicans minority block or oppose their efforts in the House to address issues that concerned American people during those two years?

Didnt the American people get ANGRY and sent the Republican Party another message in 2008 when the Democrats also gained control of the Senate with 60 Senators? Even more importantly, didnt the ANGRY American public voice their profound displeasure with the Republican by rejecting Senator John McCain and Sarah Palin?

President Obama won the elections with over 62 million votes. Part of his platform was that he was going to reform health care in this country. President Obamas plan to reform health care wasnt a secret. The voters knew about his plan and voted for him and that plan. His position on health care isnt a Socialist position, the American people rejected that argument when it was present by Sarah Palin.

I agree with the Republicans on one suggestion and that is we need to start over. My definition of starting over means realizing that the Republicans didnt support health care reform in the past, they dont support it now and they will not support it two weeks from now or two years from now. Therefore, its time for Congress and President Obama to do whatever is necessary to pass and sign a health care reform bill that will give every American affordable coverage as a right and not a privilege.

  • The totally unconstitutional ObaMaocare legislation will die of attrition - the House can and WILL refuse to fund it, and it will dry up and blow away. :)

  • @cartoonglutton thanks for your comment. The House will not be successful in their attempts to repel the Affordable Health Care Act because the Dems still control the Senate.

  • So "trickle down" economics caused the current economic issues? No mention of the housing market, a major cause of the eco collapse. Also if the Dems have been a majority leader in the House and Senate for so many terms now, why are we still in Iraq? Also why didn't they stop the economic decline. Pres Bush gets so much of the blame for all of these things, but in truth his "democrat" influenced policies and spending is what really leads to the collapse and continued decline.

  • @Vykingthor97 Seriously do you really believe what you wrote. How many terms have the Democrats been a majority in the House and Senate?

  • @vbelle6 really?you support him?no disrespect towards you but have you read any of the Two thousand page bill?humm?

  • @Jedimanny661 Thanks for your comment. No I haven't read the bill and I don't need to. I know that approx 30 million Americans who are currently uninsured or under insured will have the opportunity to quality health care for the first time as a right and not a Privilege.

  • I live in Europe but was born and raised in America. What appears to be the bigger problem is Obama is working too much with republicans. As republicans said this is their Waterloo... Well the bad guys lost there and so will they. Democrats have proven time and time again they are smarter and more considerate. Democrats can not allow republicans to have a voice because when you think back to school, the mentally handicapped were kept out of the class room so they wouldn't distract from progress

  • eh lord, all I heard is I support the New World Order, I support the secret society that has made slaves of everyone. sheeple sheeple sheeple.

  • @Pact1017 nobody is against it they are against the terms of it

    that is understable

  • my question is under the obama care bill everyone is forced(like car insurance) the but health insurance . what rich people like obama don't realize is everyone would have it if they could afford it.

  • Yes come one come all we are America the great... a great F*ing joke... If you want free healthcare and dont want to work its no problem we have people who will break their backs so you and your 9 kids can live on food stamps and wellfare.....This healthcare reform is a joke. How do you expect 100% of Americans to benifit from the healthcare reform if only 30 percent are paying their fair share?....

  • This is the comparison. Those "30 million uninsured who deserve the right to healthcare" Thats like saying those 30 million people have the right to taking my money. Am i wrong here? afterall its my taxes paying for them no? SO your saying i have to pay for my healthcare plan as i do now and pay taxes for theres? yup. What the fuck is wrong with you people?

When the first amendment utterly fails its time to start reaching for the second.

  • @xxsublimexx5 Did you?
