Both cars are modified (Civic way more than GN). Civic got a short head start but the GN still won.
GN ran 12.0 at 111mph
Civic ran 12.9 at 108mph
This was at PIR (Portland International Raceway).

@Dmac11a666 First gen LT1??? LT1's (gen II V8) weren't introduced till 92 (save for the carbed LT-1 of the early 70's) 87 Corvette came with the L98 TPI which is a completely different setup.
