upd.28.03.09 Oblivion sheet music is online on my website.

It's a beautiful piece by Astor Piazzolla, brings some sad memories too - I first heard it from a friend of mine, who died very young. I also played it for my final exam in Germany in the memory of this friend. Of course, then I played it with more instruments, the way it should be. If any piano transcription of this thing already exists, I'm not aware of it. (Probably there should be, it's a very famous tango). Also I don't have the original score with me, so I made this cover as usual, by listening to the record.
Played on my old Bluthner piano, so I'm kinda looking for pieces which could fit with the environment.

  • Ok, Vik, as you know if you remember, I am Argentinian... this is all my lovely Buenos Aires, walking by in a winter's day... there's a sort of implied silence on some streets, on a Sunday evening, when no one is around... this is the truth escene of Tango... you haven't captured the notes, Viki... you've captured Piazzola's spirit and soul... Thank you again, for such an interpretation...

  • Seems that I'm not the first from Argentina to admire your talent and sense. You have touched very deep in our heart, playing in a very unique way one of the master pieces of one of our greatest artists of all time: Astor Piazzolla. He with his master pieces have portrayed our characteristic melancholy spirit, impress all over Buenos Aires. Long live for the Tango, long live to you, long live to Astor the great.
