  • Galileo did NOT invent the telescope. it's main purpose was for war, to see where your enemies were, so you could plan ahead of time and see what they were doing. Galileo was simply the first to use the telescope to look into the heavens in which he studied his theory of heliocentric model of our SOLAR system. Also, Isaac Newton was born AFTER Galileo died (actually, the year of incidentally, none the less, they were never alive together)
