During buddhist meditation a real Mandala is painted on white paper by a penplotter while using an intelligent mala that counts mantras. After 108 mantras are spoken and so one mala round is full one new circle is added to the penplotter print. As more people meditate and as more mantras are spoken as faster the mandala fullfilles.
This process can be used as a visual counter for mantras for buddhist meditation. It brings the buddhist community together. The movie was made as a documentation of the digital media project "Sense of Community" at the University of Arts Berlin, 2006.
