could posibly be northern lights, and although rare, they have been able to reach pretty far from the arctic, or it could be somthing else... who knows

we're accustomed to rocket launches up here. it happens several times a month. I've seen rockets do similar stuff but nothing quite like this.
When you live above the arctic circle, you see some crazy shit, what with there being a enormous hole in the magnetosphere up here.
I've seen aurora borealis that would make a ufo enthusiast run for the hills in an instant. I've had unexplained "flashes" that numbed my car radio. I turned it off/on and the channels came back. (que x-files music here).

The Russians are usually open with infomation to things like UFO's etc so if they initially denied it was a missle it's obviously some sort of a cover up.
