  • biz arap degiliz zaten Türküz yavru kuş..

  • actually my comment was a reply to

fevkaladeninfevki's comment, but i dunno why it appears as a new one! anyhow, you nationality is not the point here, the point is that song is originally neither Turkish, nor Arabic. It is Greek, and you can even check it via wikipedia, or Pulp Fiction's Soundtrack Album! it is written there, too!

  • anladım..

eger ona reply olarak yazdıysan anlamlı oldu yorumun. tesekkur ederim acıklaman icin. Yunan mı Türk mü onunla ilgili kesin bir bilgim yok benim de..

  • Bestecisi Misirli Udi Ibrahim Efendi dir.

Zeki Muren - Yarali Gonul sarkisinin bestesi olarak bunu kullanmistir.

Dick DALE - Misirlou, Ucuz Roman (Pulp Fiction) filminde gitar uyarlamasini yapmistir.

Black Eyed Peas gurubu "Pump It" olarak yeniden duzenlemistir.

Selcuk Balci - Tonya - Agasar remixi etmistur :)

  • @seafoodbuffets Sorry but very suspicious for that sounds to be originally Greek. It is probably collected and composed from Magribi and Arabian musicians. Geographically this song is either from east side of, or south of Greece. No doubt.

Anyway, not surprisingly, Egypt, Greece, Turkey, Persia all claims that everythings belong to their culture. But they are together form a culture. Hey people, you are closer than any other folks, if you once know that!

  • Çok güzel hiçbirşey eskisi kadar güzel olamaz..

  • the country name is not the point here.the orginal song is from misirlou which means mısırlı in turkish and it means egyptian in english.F6mfdTIrYnQ&feature=related you can check the rhythm of it and as you will see its greek turkish and arabic based music.in the past these people were living together and the geographic and culturel development were the same. so no need to prove the origin of the song. music is a living thing and we only have to be great full the ancient ppl and their art.

  • Greeks dishonest .. Raki is our ... Did you say the Greek ... our food has baklava ... You said we've done .. Do not steal our songs at least ... pimps

  • This isn't actually Greek. It's composer is Mısırlı Udî İbrahim Efendi. So he is either El-Misrî Arabic or more likely Turkish.

Even the Greek title is Misirlu which is basicly his title, Mısırlı.

  • @seafoodbuffets wikipedia is a lie... dont believe everything you see on the net.... pfff the ppl who know the facts, mostly dont bother typing them into wiki or other garbage sites. wiki only provides common info, other then that, dont believe everything it says. use your brain a little.

  • @seafoodbuffets Do you know who are "rebetiko" musicians? Rebetico musicians (aka rembets) are refugees who are moved Greece in 1927 from Turkey because ofThe population exchange between Turkey and Greece. Many of them were living in Turkey for houndreds years. (By the way 200.000 ethnic Turks are also moved Greece because they were Orthodox. Even today surname "Karamanlis" is quite common isn't it?)

Thats why that music sounds "so Turkish" or some Turkish musics sound so greek.

  • Yunancası da Misirlou, Glykeria falan söylüyor

  • İşte şarkının orjinali, başka söze gerek yok. BUDUR

  • @seafoodbuffets you are wrong. It is not Greek at all. could u point at not a documentation but an album of this song's greek version? I am curious what date the greek version was recorded
