I don't think this guy is living in the real world, welfare makes it very attractive to participate in certain behaviors that would qualify you for payments, whether its divorce, possibly just to better their kid, but it turns into an addiction in which you forget what it would like to be without

Ha ha ha Ali G jus got owned! Ali is da bomb but tis fella benn out taught him. Welfare is for people who cant get the jobs they want to do, it not fare making people do jobs they don't wanna do's. I've been on benifets for over a year coz I can't find IT job. And I ain't doin no job I hate like warehouse. No way.

I don't know a whole lot of girls that would pass up their teenage years in order to stay home with a screaming baby. Nor do I know I whole lot of 16 year old girls who'd want to give up their tight little mini skirts for maternity clothes.
Welfare is crap. Why do you think "welfare mothers" live in crappy housing projects and not cool, stylish loft apartments?

I do not agree with alot of Tony Benn's politics. But I think he is an ablsolute GEM of a politician - he does and says what he genuinely thinks is right.
And that's why he's the only politician I like.

Brilliant. TB insists upon his right to express his views without patronining what he could only assume to be a cretinous interviewer. If only there were more politicians who cared about what they had to say instead of what they thought people wanted to hear.
