Nissan just announced it will build a third plant in Mexico. The company plans to invest $2 billion in the facility, with production scheduled to begin sometime in 2013. Opel has delayed the launch of the Ampera to fix a potential coolant leak in the battery. Ford's successful "Drive One" slogan is being retired, replaced by another two-word catchphrase. All that and more, plus guest host Murray Feldman from FOX2 News, Detroit shares some of his thoughts on the resurgent American auto industry.

  • @76carmel the tagline for Ford trucks will remain strong for years to come, right?

  • Ford should restore the slogan, "Have you driven a Ford lately?" Still the Ford Trucks is still solid - "Built Ford Tough"

  • Never underestimate the idiocy of unions to screw things up. Like most unions, the UAW is a legalized (by Democrats) extortion ring whose sole purpose is to extract dollars from the owners of the businesses they are able to infiltrate. This infiltration is made easy by the government's assistance unit, aka the NLRB.

  • Japanese car companies building here is nice but we need to take back jobs from Chinese workers manufacturing for the largest car market - China's own
