Yes folks, we know there were some issues with playback in some countries, we had emails from Azerbaijan where some folks couldn't watch an Irish guy talking about driving.
So here's another go, still fun.
The latest Alfa Giulietta becomes a tonne of fun around the town and track. www.thenextgear.com for more car reviews

  • @Smokerspack Saw one of these in Dublin today and was really taken with it. Decided to research it online, and found this video. Turns out that the car I saw and the one you tested are one and the same - recognised the reg. Buying it tomorrow, all being well - hope you didn't thrash it too much!

    Enjoyed the vid, good stuff.

  • @notspavin I didn't go too hard on it. Anyway Alfa took the car in after it was finished on the fleet and looked after it with bowls of grapes and rose petals! You'll be very happy, I promise, just get that rev counter over the 3,000rpm and you'll be grinning...lots

  • who cares if there's a bias or not, this guy always gives probably the most honest, down to earth reviews on youtube with an enthusiastic attitude that's totally infectious.

  • @altern8ive Cheers! I'm glad you like the videos, it's important to remember that I always tell how I feel about a car and what it's like to live with it, that's what matters in the long run. Now get out there and drive somewhere, just for the sake of driving...you'll feel good, promise

  • @vandreadparty Objectively looking at an Alfa is missing the point of an Alfa!

  • the 1.4 turbo will be in the dart but is it the same one? I think the dart only has 160 hp and around 190 lb-ft or something. maybe its tuned differently

  • @Smokerspack that's exactly what makes them so watchable - because they're different to the normal 'suck-ass' type reviews, they give us a straightforward opinion un-tarred by any corporate pressure to please the car manufacturers. i nearly bought a Giulietta based on your review, instead im updating my Mito to the QV version, just waiting for delivery now. and don't worry, i always drive the long way home, a mile away usually becomes 50 or more :)

  • @iceflamescream We have had a 2.0d 170ps giulietta for a year and a half now, and we have had no problems at all. Looks like Alfa are building cars properly at last!!

  • @iceflamescream To be honest, there have been very few problems reported with the current petrol models. It's an engine that's been around for a few years and you'll find that there are other car makers out there that are using the multi-air technology in their cars.

  • @Smokerspack Cheers. I'll be sure to let you know how i get on. I'm ordering the Mulit Air with twin tail pipes and 18's, so it could be up to 3 months for delivery. I Can't wait, its my first alfa!! Just out of interest (tho i probably dont really want to know the truth) did you come across any faults or problems with this model?

  • @iceflamescream You are very kind, thanks very much. I'm sure you'll love the Giulietta, it's an exciting and very cool car, best of luck with it!
