This is a podcast from ISGTW and GridTalk about the First Beam Day at CERN : the startup of the superconducting supercollider; No black hole, but a very interesting video.

We followed scientists and engineers in that awesome event....

  • Glad your opinion is not worth a squirt of piss then...

  • XD that looked like copy pasted from Wikipedia.

  • well im bored tehehehehe

  • It's OK, relax, you're going to die anyway.

  • Yep, I am only joking;no need to get snakey. They'll simply collide the beams of protons and out will pop the amazing Higgs Boson aka the god particle. And after that they'll finally know how objects attained mass after the big bang. It'll also prove the Higgs theory right. Naahhhh..... I still think we're all gonna die.... goodbye cruel world :'(

  • yay we didn't die XD hope we don't die when they do it with 2 beams...anyway i still find this thing useless for everyone only for fizics :|

  • This is a great moment in human history. Cheers!

  • You are kidding, right? The rumors are unfounded, do a little research.

  • Congratulations people of CERN! Thank you so much for changing my life by inventing the World Wide Web. Thank you in advance for what you will give humanity with the LHC and The Grid.
