Driving through NYC on the BQE (Brooklyn Queens Expressway or also known as I-278) going east starting around Hamilton Ave. exit, running down through the trench then up along side the East River with a pan of lower Manhattan, then around the bend and under the Brooklyn Bridge. Notice the low clearance heights marked on the overpasses. Driving my 2007 379 Peterbilt Legacy Class #20 (300" WB) pulling a 53' 2008 Great Dane Classic dry van which is 13'6" x 102. I am heading out to deliver to Hicksville, NY on Long Island

@xXxXxRedEyexXxXx thanks for the info, i went thru the middle lane and had no problem! traffic is so bad on the bqe, but i think its worse on the cross bronx!

@HotShotVQ35 It is actually the height on shoulder. Stay in far left lane and you will be fine. When going in the other direction it is the same way but there are no signs saying to exit. I hate New York!!!! The people there are rude at least they were in Brooklynn and Queens.

@xXxXxRedEyexXxXx i will be going this route this week, and i talked to a bunch of drivers, all of them say that sign is bullshit, and as i watched this vid i say a tractor trailor go under neath no problem. i wonder what the actual height is..
