Nice turn! Only thing I would add is gloves and a jacket--keeps the gravel out of your hide if things go wrong!
OH and boots will keep the feet warm as well as keep that knobby bit of ankle off the pipe...

Hey, I'm from Brazil. Just bought my xv250... Here people aren't so polite... This doesn't help because when I am riding on the avenue I can't control my fear... But there's also the pleasure to be on my virago... It's very cool man, congratulations! It's a great bike!

ArmsDealer06, you forgot to mention the most important thing . . . THE FULL FACE HELMET, talk about peeling like a grape. I noticed the kid had a helmet and it was good to see but he lacked other protection.

It's always better to start off on a smaller cc bike no matter what age you are. You will be a better rider in the future from the experience you gain now. Without a jacket or gloves you're defenseless against the asphalt. You'll peel like a grape.
you look very small

How tall are you? I'm 5'11" and am worried I will look funny on a 250cc, but I can buy one for dirt cheap. Are there any drag bar kits made to fit the virago 250?

He is only 14 in this video so a 250 may look small if you are 5'11. But who cares...if you can get a good bike like this for "cheap" then you should.
