True Blood Season 3 Update: A New Werewolf Joins the Cast!

HBO's True Blood plans to amp things up in season three with the addition of a whole new breed. ClevverTV brings you those details in just a few seconds.

Hey guys-I'm your host Joslyn Davis with breaking news from the set of HBO's hit show, True Blood. As if there wasn't already enough eye candy on the show-writers have decided to add a sexy werewolf to the cast also.

It is being confirmed that Joe Manganiello will play the werewolf, whose name is Alcide Herveaux. Alcide will appear in the third episode of season three, which will debut in the summer of 2010. The werewolf will already be in love with another character, who is a very bad woman. But the casting call for the character implied that the werewolf would get along very well with Sookie and it could be possible that there is some attraction between the two.

So what do you guys think of True Blood adding a werewolf into the mix? It should be interesting to see how they approach all the ins and outs of this new character.

I just think true blood it is for Adults where twilight it is more for teens, so I think it is like compare sesame street with the exorcist....

@malfute Just for your fyi, they did use real wolves in season 3. If you watch the special features on the discs i believe its episode 2, they show you how they used real wolves.

Adding more Weres(wolf-shifters) isn't going to make these lame-ass ,pathetic, weak, sorry-excuse for werewolves, cooler. Their the most biggest disappointment in season 3, and their going to be a massive disappointment in season 4. Read the fourth book, and see how disappointing, their gonna be in season 4.
