DigInfo - http://movie.diginfo.tv - Tokina Co., Ltd showed their new AT-X 165 PRO DX aspherical lens which has a 16-50mm focal length and a minimum Fstop of 2.8. Achieving such a low Fstop with this focal length is technically difficult because most of the relationship between focal lengths and light necessary to capture a good image. This camera is specifically designed for a Digital SLR, single lens reflex, camera with an APS-C size chip which because of the chips size, it crops the image so the focal length is comparative to a 24-75mm lens with a 2.8 Fstop on a regular film camera. This lens can also focuses on a subject as close as .3 meters and has a water repellant coat that keeps it clean and prevents oily smudges like fingerprints.
