WATCHMEN, page 5 - fan film

I am the creator of this WATCHMEN short. I made this as a final project in a media production class as a senior in high school. I tried to adapt page 5 of the graphic novel, WATCHMEN, into a movie. As you will probably notice, I followed Sin City's production techniques and used some of the score that best fit the mood of the page in my opinion. I did the best I could. Finished it in two weeks time. Let me know what you think. Compare it to the page!

As I watched this, I kept thinking how impressed I was that a high school senior made this short adaptation. I know how you did the wall climb, yet how many other kids would pull it off?

Congratulations, you did a fine job with this scene (or, more accurately, page). In fact, this looks a hell of a lot better than Snyder's rendition.

V for Vendetta was good but they completely tamed V's overall character and purpose he served in the Novel. Watchmen would of been better adapted if it were a miniseries, of course the ultimate directors cut is closer to the source material. I disagree about Sin City, its as true of an adaptation of Frank's series as you're ever gonna get, but that's just my view.

Are you guys serious? this was cool but why are you guys talking shit about the real film? that movie was fuckin awsome, nobody wants to see another fail like Sin City. the only 2 movies that did justice to their comic were V for Vendetta and watchmen in my opinion.
