hey im back! i am just starting a colourizing project - by myself- to colourize "the invasion" you know , the one with unti and the cybermen! i hope i can grab some tips from you! the title sequence is blue for that episode - im changing the colour of the title sequence per season (i keep that in mind in case i start another one!)

that's okay and it's true, it's great. The other's seem to bleed all over the image but your's is good. cheers

i think you would be the most popular person on doctor who here at youtube if you could do a whole part of the old doctor who in colour. that should make the bbc see the point
I've seen a lot of colourised sixties who titles and this is the best I've seen yet.

Aw - thank you very much.
It didn't take long to put together - the software uses the grey areas to colourise seperately.
I'm working on recolourising Ambassadors of Death ep 2 at the moment - theres a 'colourisation project' Facbook group for anyone who's interested.
+ volunteers wanted! :)

Thanks bud. I need a bit of encouraging. A mate of mine who also colourises has had to remove some of his work and its put a dampner on things here.
I think public should campaign to get the BBC to consider if this is worth pursuing, or perhaps getting ordinary members ofthe public to devote some of their time to a project...

Ok I'll try.
tbh the colours for this title sequence are really getting to me. What seems to work is a blue flame getting lighter in the brighter areas.
I have to work around the fact that I don't want to mask out Troughton's face separately but use the colourisation software to 'guess' at his skin colour, then base the other colours around that.

I've also tried using Primary colours - Red Green and Blue but they don't work well with this title seq. This sequence was probably originally done using a b/w monitor anyway, so anything I do is just guesswork.
