This is a vocal range compilation video for Naya Rivera she plays Santana Lopez on Glee and the first female cast member on Glee to get a solo record deal. All the songs i used for my video where from Glee and one live performace. Though many consider her to be the third best female vocalist (and fourth overall) IMO she is the best. She may not have the higher upper chest registers of Amber and Lea or the way much more developed falsetto/head voice of Chris but she proves that range isn't everything. Her voice is very pleasant to the ears and she is by far the most versatile singer on the show. She can sing everything from disco to soul to pop to R&B. Unlike Amber, Chris, or Lea who all come off to me as being one-sided. She has a nice lower register, it's not the strongest but she's got plenty of time to develop it further. And her belts especially her Eb5 are pretty strong. I look forward to her future career and endeavors and I for one can't wait to see how her voice develops even further. So hopefully everyone enjoys.

PS: I used songs off of YouTube so some notes might be higher and or lower in pitch then in actuality.

PS: I will be making an even better video once I've collected alot more of her singing, I just had to make this video really quickly because I was just amazed that no one had made it yet.

  • what song is she sining at 2.00...? :)

  • @xoxdarinaxox I think its God rest ye merry gentlemen

  • Some people are saying she is an alto but I believe that she is a kind of low mezzo soprano.

  • @candygurls15 Yeah I would say she's either a high alto or a low mezzo. She was able to hit that C3 and E3 with little to no effort, but Naya's voice is so confusing to place becuz she has some of the qualities of an alto and some of the qualities of a mezzo, idk.

  • I love that out of 11,800+ views only 1 person disliked this video. Thanks you guys for making this video such a success and I do plan on doing a brand new video with extra notes from this season.

  • I believe the note she sings in bad romance is E2 and also she sings other songs in octave 2, tell me if i´m wrong but that´s the way I hear it ☺ that would mean her vocal range is broader.

  • @guittarori Im sorry but that not a E2 if that was an E2 it would be way lower and sound like a man

  • Am I the only one who thinks she should play Mimi in RENT?

  • Damn, I love her. I think Naya is the best singer on Glee. She's got such an unique voice and she can do all different styles. <3

  • @BoomKia12 She sings "Oh baby" and on the "Oh" she hits the F#5 :)

  • She's my favorite, too, next Darren Criss. The both are close to perfect (tone-wise) for me. :-)

  • I say she's a mezzo. I'm a mezzo and I can hit that E3 too, and up to a G5. :) She has a beautiful voice!

  • @titanfan5 What's the lyrics of this F#5?

  • She belts an F#5 in River Deep, Mountain High (Duets episode with Mercedes). Just so you know :)

  • @ladysasha90 an alto isn't a vocal type... Alto refers to a section in choirs that can be either mezzo sopranos or contraltos. She definitely isn't contralto so chances are she's a mezzo

  • She's my favourite as well :)

  • omg we have the same range! :D i hated my range but now im ok with it
