  • We watch enough Japanese cartoons in America, but in order to enjoy ours, they have to completely redo them in their style...? Am I missing something?

  • @NamelessAidan Stitch was a relatively popular franchise in Japan. They wanted to make more, so we got this. The original Lilo and Stitch series had aired previously on Japanese television (both on TV Tokyo and Disney Channel Japan) as well. So it's not as if they had not gotten the original tv series.

I honestly enjoyed this. I don't see why people are immediately hating this without even giving it so much as a chance or a couple episodes. Bothers me...

  • People complain about it being in anime-style but how many people remember that anime style is based off Disney style? And that modern animation in turn has taken cues from both Disney and anime in turn? Just LOOK, all animation is essentially the same, just different stylizations. @SaberWingDragon It's been years since Leroy & Stitch, so Stitch probably got rusty. I doubt he's had many fights since the end. And Yuna is really the first human to give him such a fight. And this is only ep. 1! XD

  • Spectrobes really? @SaberWingDragon don't forget Stitch has the brain of a super computer so he probably learns fast but the rest of ur questions...im am w/ on that what is going on.

  • If this takes place years in the future, why is fat ice cream guy there and whys he look exactly the same? How did Stitch get to and learn Japanese? And where did his manners go? Lilo taught him better! Why doesn't he know what a fight is, he used to! He doesn't speak any Hawaiian all of a sudden? I don't understand this at all.... :c

  • @NamelessAidan I think that based on what I found out, this is set in the future from Lilo and Stitch. Lilo grows up and her daughter makes at least a cameo. I would have to look into this more to really know more. Think of it as a sequel.

  • @benjimonPark I'm not familiar with any American redos of Pokemon or Yu Gi Oh, unless you're just referring to the horrendous dubs.. which are terrible, but not really a total change in the style.

  • @StitchJapan It's just my personal opinion, and I'm fine that people don't agree. I never intended to be 'that guy who doesn't like the show without watching it', because I have watched some of the episodes and I simply prefer the original. I guess in retrospect I'm referring more to my frustration with the sudden obsession over anime "style" and how lots of fans of other things (disney being a big example) do extensive fan art showing 'how much better' it would be in 'anime style'

  • @NamelessAidan

American TV shows changed up a lot of Japanese cartoons and changed the storyline completely. For example Pokemon and Yu Gi Oh. grow up.

  • how the did stitch end up in japan?

  • That boy cursed.

  • Okay one question why are there more likes than dislikes I mean this isn't lilo and stitch this some weird ass cross over I mean do you see how the animations are two completeley different things and what the hell lilo looks like a grown up nani and her daughter looks excatly like she did when she was a kid (ya I know the general story) okay I get it japan went in a different direction but seriousley this goes against everthing lilo and stitch stands for this is this "An abomination"
