oh! if you get the medium dark jergens it darkens you faster than the fair. I'm a redhead so i tried the firming fair/medium first and it didn't work. It smelled bad and the fair didn't change my skin tone much when i did it everyday for a week. Then i got the REVITALIZING medium/dark and in one day i was darker and 2 days was perfect for me being a redhead. Applying at night helps too so it sets while you sleep.

did you shower after the color set? that's important because it washes off the chemical smell AND more importantly the excess tanner that sits on top of your skin. The jergens has a longer set but that's because it doesn't have temporary colors. The sun is brown meaning that it has temporary colors (which yes lets you see where you put it and it shows faster) but that color doesn't set onto you. it's like a film on top. Either is fine to use but you have to shower to see the real colors.
