Tony Blair, former British Prime Minister, and now Middle East peace envoy, is the consummate political communicator.

This video is a compilation of some of his words throughout his ten years as British Prime Minister (1997 - 2007).

Some background is included for those who do not know how great an impact he and his party made on their first election victory in 1997.

Also, a few snippets of policy. And, just to make a point, Blair did NOT decide to throw in the towel in June 2007. He could have been in place for another two or three years. The Labour party, in its wisdom, NOT the people, decided he had to go.

Is it "back to the future" for the Labour Party? Only time will tell.

Personally, I think they've made a HUGE mistake.

This is in two parts due to the length of some of the video clips. Both parts are of around 3-4 minutes.

  • I suspect at the end of the day, Tony Blair's not the stalwart we want to believe he is. But he talks a good game and I'll be damned if he ain't sharp as a tack, and savvy as a bulldog. And he looks like an Angel compared to our American D-Bag politicians.

  • @FavreianVengeance - he looks like an angel compared to OURS too.

  • now ed milliband is in leader of Labour. shot themselves in the foot? yes.

  • @theSPUDereHD - I've written a blog post on this. Google "33 years to find a Blair".

  • Blair was a fantastic Prime Minister. It's easy for us to get caught up in all the anti-Blair vitriol in the media, but he did so much good and was principled man. But he was not blindly dogmatic, and not afraid to stand steadfast against terrorism and Islamic extremism.

Whilst I have concerns about the build-up to the Iraq war, its intentions were noble. Removing a despotic, murderous dictator from power is a righteous cause.

    I enjoy reading your blog.

  • @MrToadful - thank you for your kind comments. Every now and again I think I really must stop the blog. Then something else comes up that he's involved in, and I realise that if I don't keep track there is nowehere that HIS positive narrative is recorded in one place. So the blog's still there.

  • @RomeAndMarty4Ever - he would certainly be able to get out and about in the US, unlike here in Britain where the insane placard wavers grab the headlines whenever he appears. Encouraged by the lunatic press, of course. But many, many of us DO miss him, despite the 'liberal' press's nonsense.

  • @Aleeraize - I wish. I really do.

  • Tony Blair should move to the U.S., Americans love him. Americans are very loyal and are very conscious of the fact that when shit hit the fan Blair stood beside us while France was no where to be found. Americans will never forget. Thank you Tony Blair!

  • Thank you for a video, I wish he knew we all love and support him. God bless Mr. Blair, he is one of the best Prime Ministers Britain has ever had. It would be great, if he could be back in office, maybe one day he will...

  • J'adore!
